Nebo Development Partners LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates Shep, an AI-powered Bible study application that generates devotionals from sources you trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app and website.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials, which are managed through Supabase, our authentication provider.
Church & Subscription Data
We store your church feed selections and sermon subscriptions to personalize your experience.
User-Generated Content
We collect content you create within the app, including chat messages, devotional plan interactions, and notes.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage data through Vercel Analytics, including pages visited, features used, and session duration.
Device Information
We collect standard device information such as device type, OS version, and browser type as part of standard web and app analytics.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide and personalize your Shep experience
- Generate AI-powered devotionals from your selected sermon sources
- Improve app performance and features
- Send service-related communications (we do not send marketing emails)
AI Data Processing
Your chat messages are processed by AI to generate responses and devotional content. The AI does not retain conversation data beyond the active session. We do not use your data to train AI models.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Shep:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting
- Vercel Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
- Apple App Store — subscription billing and payment processing
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your data for advertising purposes.
Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at kyle@nebopartners.com. Upon receiving a deletion request, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymous data may be retained for analytics purposes.
Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your data. While no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.
Children's Privacy
Shep is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at kyle@nebopartners.com and we will promptly delete such information.
Tracking & Advertising
Shep does not track users across other apps or websites. We do not display advertising. We do not collect the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Request data portability where applicable
